ECR members are encouraged to access a variety of benefits through the UKCCSRC Early Career Researcher programme. You can opt to subscribe to the mailing list to receive the monthly newsletter and bulletins about ECR funding calls and events, and you have the opportunity to include your profile in the UKCCSRC online Members Directory.

The Early Career Researcher programme supports researchers training for an academic career as well as those whose future lies outside academia. The programme is also aimed at academic staff in the early stages of their research careers, to give participants support in networking, career planning and the development of their CCS research capacities.

In terms of our UKCCSRC funding opportunities, please check the call details for eligibility criteria. For most opportunities we mean postgraduate students through to academic and research staff based at UK universities that meet the (non-technical) conditions for eligibility for the EPSRC first grant scheme.

Supporting the development of ECRs is crucial for continued growth in CCS research and development. It ensures that people with advanced skills are available to support widespread development and deployment of CCS by practitioner organisations.
