UK CCS Government competition proposals

Knowledge from White Rose and Peterhead CCS projects

On 25 November 2015, the government announced that it was cancelling the £1bn CCS Competition, six months before it was to be awarded. The two leading bidders in the competition were the Peterhead site in Scotland and the White Rose site in North Yorkshire.

Under the 2013/2014 Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) contracts, the Peterhead and White Rose CCS projects delivered 86 reports. The reports have been published on the government website to enable both the Peterhead and White Rose projects to share the knowledge acquired on their respective CCS projects.
