Vincent, Ceri

Ceri J Vincent graduated with an MSci in geophysics from the University of Leeds in 2000. She has worked at the British Geological Survey (BGS) on CO2 storage projects for over 24 years. This includes interpretation of geological and geophysical data for assessment and characterisation of potential storage sites at a range of scales (basin to reservoir). Ceri is President of CO2GeoNet, the European Network of Excellence on geological storage of CO2 (2019 – 2027). Previous project experience includes CO2 storage in the UK, Europe, China, South Africa and India. Ceri provided technical expertise to the update of the IEAGHG Monitoring Selection Tool (2024 – 2025). She also led the workpackage on infrastructure design for the UKRI Scoping Study for a UK underground CO2 storage research laboratory (2020 – 2023). She also led the workpackage collating geological data to support assessment of the potential for geological storage of hydrogen in Europe in depleted hydrocarbon fields and saline aquifers for the Clean Hydrogen Partnership Hystories (Hydrogen Storage in European Subsurface, Hystories) project (2021 – 2022).
