Rahmanian, Nejat

Dr Nejat Rahmanian is an Associate Professor in Chemical Engineering at the University of Bradford with over 24 years of experience in academia and industry, ranging from process and project engineering to research and development, and project management. He has been leading the MSc Program in Advanced Chemical and Petroleum Engineering (2015~) and is a Chartered Engineer, Chartered Scientist, and fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy. He was a member of the Advisory Board of a mega-scale research project, C4U (carbon capture, storage, and utilization) received funding of over €14m from Horizon 2020 led by UCL (2020~2025). 

 
Nejat has been involved in about  £3m research projects as PI, Co-I during his career, funded by EPSRC, HEFCE, QNRF, MOSTI (Malaysia), and the British Council. He has published 1 Book, 11 Chapter Books, and about 150 peer-reviewed articles and supervised over 60 master’s and 10 PhD projects in the UK and overseas. He delivered invited and keynote speeches at 25 national and international conferences. His research focuses on the CCUS, BECCS, H2 transportation/storage, and particle technology with applications in the energy, chemical, steel, cement and pharmaceutical industries.
