Dr. Wei Li is a Geological and Chemical Engineer and currently a Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham. Her research focuses on developing advanced materials for two key areas: (1) carbon capture using solid adsorbents (e.g., silica-PEI) to remove CO₂ from industrial emissions and the atmosphere, and (2) carbon sequestration using biochar to convert unstable carbon into stable forms for long-term storage, while also advancing its diverse applications. With nine years of research experience in energy and sustainability, Dr. Li is dedicated to combating climate change through practical and innovative technologies.
