Applications for the Net Zero Technology Centre’s TechX Clean Energy Accelerator are now open, closing on 1 October 2023. The programme offers £100,000 in funding to 12 technologies along with mentorship, training, and access to an extensive industry network.
TechX is interested in diverse start-ups, spin outs or research projects developing technologies in the following areas:
- CCUS & carbon removal solutions
- Low carbon hydrogen
- Alternative fuels and green chemicals
- Renewable power
- Digital solutions
- Decarbonised industrial heat and cooling technologies, and other
The programme will run from February – June 2024 and is virtual with three weeks in the Energy Capital of Europe – Aberdeen.

The UK Carbon Capture and Storage Research Community (UKCCSRC) is supported by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) as part of the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Energy Programme.
The mission of the UKCCSRC is to ensure that carbon capture and storage (CCS) plays an effective role in helping the UK achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
