Energy Innovation Programme Manager

The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy invites applications for the role of Energy Innovation Programme Manager – Birmingham, Cardiff, Darlington, Edinburgh, London or Salford.

The post will be based in the Industry & CCUS innovation team, within the Science and Innovation for Climate and Energy (SICE) Directorate in BEIS. The team runs the £1bn Net Zero Innovation Portfolio (NZIP); and the Industry & CCUS team is directly responsible for up to £150m of NZIP funding over 2021-2025.

The Energy Innovation Programme Manager will be directly responsible for the £20m Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) programme, which will build on the success of its predecessors undertaken under the previous funding rounds.  The successful applicant will assume leadership of the ‘in flight’ projects and work with the project teams and monitoring officers to deliver the high impacts sought by Government funding.
