Vincenzo became Lecturer in the School of Chemical Engineering at the University of Manchester in January 2018. His research combines numerical modelling (from particle to the complete plant) and experimental testing of the technology up to the pilot scale. His main research interests lie in the gas-solid-reactions such as chemical looping and sorption technologies as well as gas separation applied using membrane technology and direct energy conversion systems (fuel cells) with the ultimate goal to achieve a sustainable and clean process with improved performances in terms of energy and costs.

Biography
He holds a BSc (2005) and MSc (2008) in Energy Engineering and a PhD cum laude in 2013 in Nuclear and Energy Science and Technology program from Polytechnic of Milan (IT) working in the group of Energy Conversion System (GECoS). After that, He was post-doctoral fellow in the Chemical Process Intensification Group at the Eindhoven University of Technology . He has participated in several national and international projects with partnership of universities, research centers and industries. Before being appointed at the University of Manchester, He spent 6 months as visiting researcher in the Tecnalia Research Center (San Sebastian, Spain) working in the Group of Membrane Technology.
