I am an assistant professor in geochemistry in the School of Chemistry at the University of Nottingham. I work in the GeoEnergy Research Centre, a collaboration between the University of Nottingham and the British Geological Survey. Until August 2015, I was a research fellow in sedimentary and structural geology at Imperial College London, where I led the Diagenesis Linked Research Group in the Department of Earth Science and Engineering. I worked mainly on reservoir characterization, as part of the Qatar Carbonates and Carbon Storage Research Centre project.
I obtained my PhD in Geology, specialised in carbonate diagenesis at the KU Leuven in 2006 and worked subsequently as a geologist on CCS at the Geological Survey of Belgium. In 2008, I started a postdoc at CEREGE (France) and in 2009 at Imperial College London.
