I was born on 12th December 1986, in Gliwice (Poland). Almost all my life is connected with this city. I started my education at the primary school No. 27. After that, I attended gymnasium No. 5. Both schools were located at the same address - Gomułki street 16A (currently Rubinowa street), 44-121 Gliwice. I got my secondary education on the physical-mathematical-IT profile in High School No. III named after Wincenty Styczyński in Gliwice. During this period of my life, I became interested in energy and mechanics. The consequence of my interests was the application for studies at the Faculty of Energy and Environmental Engineering (Silesian University of Technology).
In 2005-2010 I studied Mechanics and Machine Construction at the Faculty. During studies I was a member of student association called "Studenckie Koło Naukowe Kotłów i Wytwornic Pary" (Students Scientific Circle of Boilers and Steam Generators). After successful defense of my MSc thesis titled “The influence of the Feedwater Heating Performance on the Efficiency of a Steam Cycle”, I received my Master of Science title in the field of Mechanics and Machine Construction on September 23rd, 2010. From April 2011 to April 2015 I was employed as Independent Technical Consultant at the Institute of Power Engineering and Turbomachinery (Silesian University of Technology) in Strategic Research Programme “Advanced Technologies for Energy Generation: Development of a technology for oxy-combustion pulverized-fuel and fluid boilers integrated with CO2 capture”. I became a Ph.D. student at the Faculty of Energy and Environmental Engineering (Silesian University of Technology) in September 2011. During this period I became a member of student association called "Studenckie Koło Naukowe Czyte Technologie Energetyczne" (Students Scientific Circle of Clean Energy Technologies) and participate at 8 conferences, including ECOS 2012 in Italy (Perugia), Power Engineering and Environment 2013 in Czech Republic (Ostrava) and PBEC 2011 in Poland (Warsaw). On 23-rd October, I defended with extinction doctoral thesis entitled “Efficiency analysis of a supercritical and ultracritical zero-emission power plant with an oxy-type hard coal fired pulverized fuel boiler”. In consequence, I received the Doctor of Philosophy degree in technical science in the scope of Power Engineering on November 27, 2015. From January 2016 to February 2018 I was employed as Assistant at Institute of Power Engineering and Turbomachinery (Silesian University of Technology).
Starting from February 2018 I became Research Fellow in Low-Carbon Energy Systems at Centre for Power Engineering (Canfield University). My current research concerns low CO2 emission electricity generation systems.
