Muhammad Farooq is a PhD research Scholar in Mechanical Engineering at Heriot-Watt University UK. Currently, he is working on the regenerative activated carbon for CO2 capture for low lost Bio-methane production. He is an active member of CCS group at Heriot-Watt University. He is volunteer for organizing CCS monthly meetings at Heriot-Watt university. He is selected for the 4th International Sulics Summer School on CCS Technologies which will be held at the Sotacarbo Research Center of Carbonia (CI), Italy from June 28th to July 1st 2016. The International Biomass Conference & Expo Review Committee (IBCE) invited Farooq as speaker at the International Biomass Conference & Expo held at Charlotte Convention Center, North Carolina, United States in April-2016. In 2015, He has been selected as research exchange scholar under EU-CO2-TRIP Project ''Long-term research activities in the area of advanced CO2 Capture Technologies for Clean Coal Energy Generation'' at Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China. In recongntion of his research work, UK Energy Storage Research Network (ESRN) awarded him travel grant to attend UKES Conference in 2014. In 2013, Farooq was awarded with a prestigious scholarship for PhD under Faculty Development Program.
