Dr. Lorraine WHITMARSH is Professor of Environmental Psychology in the School of Psychology, Cardiff University, Partner Coordinator of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, and Sustainable Places Research Institute Associate. She specialises in perceptions and behaviour in relation to low-carbon behaviours, climate change, energy and technologies - including CCS and hydraulic fracturing. She has been involved in a range of projects, funded by ESRC, EPSRC, NERC, DEFRA, the EC (FP6, FP7, IEE, Horizon2020), Environment Agency, Shell, Eon, Welsh Government, and others. She holds a prestigious ERC Starting Grant on Low-Carbon Lifestyles & Behavioural Spillover (CASPI). She advises various policy and research bodies (e.g., DEFRA, DECC, WG, British Science Association, RCUK, House of Lords) and sits on the Climate Change Commission for Wales.
