Long Jiang is a Research Associate at the school of Science, Agriculture & Engineering, Newcastle University. He has a long-standing interest in thermal energy storage, carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS), efficient energy conversion technologies, heat and mass transfer enhancement of the porous media, and gas purification. The ultimate goal of his research is to address global energy and environment issue by integrating energy and CCUS into useful bio product. Before moving to UK, he worked as a postdoctoral associate at Engineering Research Centre of Solar Power Refrigeration, Shanghai Jiaotong University. He has obtained extensive research experience in the sorption carbon capture and chemicals process simulation of carbon utilisation through working on several large low- carbon conversion projects and industrial carbon dioxide storage projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China and Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council. He is a technical reviewer for 20+ leading peer-reviewed journals and several professional conferences in his research area. He is also a member of young researcher for refrigeration.
