Dr. Jin Xuan obtained his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Hong Kong in 2012. He was a Faculty member in East China University of Science and Technology and a visiting researcher in The University of Hong Kong and City University of Hong Kong during 2012-2014. In 2014, he moved his academic career to U.K., taking a position in Heriot-Watt University as Assistant Professor. In 2018, he moved to the Department of Chemical Engineering at Loughborough University as a Senior Lecturer.
Dr. Xuan’s research interests include CO2 capture and utilization, Life cycle analysis of CCS and CCU processes, renewable energy, micro-reactors and process intensification. he has received £1.5 million (eqv)+ funds for research on energy and environment. He has published 1 edited book, 80+ journal papers (a number of which in the list of Elsevier ‘Top 25 Hottest Articles’ and Wiley ‘Most Accessed Articles‘), 50+ conference papers, filed 10+ US and Chinses patents, and delivered 10+ invited/keynote speeches in conference. His publications have received more than 1100 citations and his personal H-Index is 20 (Google). He is a Specialty Associate Editor of Frontiers in Environmental Science, Guest Editor of Micro and Nanosystems, and reviewer for many SCI journals.
