Dr Jia Li is a Lecturer in Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) based at the well-established Carbon Capture Group at the School of Engineering at the University of Edinburgh. She has over 9 years’ experience on Carbon Capture and Storage. She started her career investigating Carbon Capture Ready design for power plant plants and evaluating the potential of retrofitting post combustion carbon capture plant in China.The concept of a Carbon Capture Ready Hub which she initiated is becoming reality in Guangdong Province, China. And her research portfolio has extended to cement plant capture and large scale industry demonstration. She gained her PhD degree from Imperial College London and set up the English-Chinese Bilingual website www.captureready.com on CCS. She is also the Network Manager for China Low-carbon Energy Action Network (CLEAN). Recently, she has taken up the duty as Chief Editor of the bilingual magazine, Near Zero Emission.
