Ioanna Dimitriou is an Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering and member of the Cleaner Fossil Energy and Carbon Capture Technologies (CFE&CCT) research group at the University of Nottingham.

Her research interests lie in process modelling, process optimisation and techno-economic analysis of low-carbon energy technologies, including carbon capture and utilisation, as well as thermochemical and biochemical conversion of biomass and waste. She has been an invited speaker at seminars and conferences in the USA and the UK in carbon dioxide utilisation and bioenergy and has acted as an expert proposal evaluator for the European Commission (Horizon 2020 programme) and the Greek Ministry of Education under several low-carbon energy calls.
