Mr. Daniel Onimisi OKUO is currently a PhD in Mechanical student at the University of Sheffield where he is pursuing a research focused on Combustion and emissions studies of various biogas and natural gas blends in a gas turbine.
He holds a Master in Engineering, M. Eng. (Mechanical Engineering), from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) in December, 2011 and Bachelor of Engineering, B. Eng. (Hons.) Second Class (Honours) Upper Division (Mechanical Engineering), from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) in November, 2007. He is also COREN Registered Engineer and a corporate member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE).
He had his National Youth Service Corps from March, 2008 to February, 2009 at Government Technical College Abakaliki, Ebonyi State where he taught Mechanical Engineering Craft and Physics. Subsequently, he was employed at UTAL building product limited (formerly UTC Aluminium), Oregun, Lagos State as a Technical Support Officer – Quality Control in April, 2009. In May, 2012, He joined FUNAAB as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and became a Lecturer II in October, 2015.
His research interests include: Carbon Capture and Storage, Biofuels, Renewable and Sustainable Energy, Thermodynamics, Fluid Flow, Heat transfer and Computational Fluid Dynamics.
