Prof Mohamed Pourkashanian and Dr Karen N Finney are pleased to invite you to our scientific workshop on “NanoMaterials Enhanced Membranes for Carbon Capture”, to be held in Sheffield on Tuesday 20th March 2018.
The programme starts with a selection of talks from the scientific partners of our EU H2020 project (NanoMEMC2 – NanoMaterial Enhanced Membranes for Carbon Capture), followed by a dedicated poster session with refreshments and a technical discussion panel.
The NanoMaterials Enhanced Membranes for Carbon Capture (NanoMEMC2) project, funded by the EC through the EU’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation program (Grant 727734), aims to reduce the cost, energy and process limitations that make pre-/post-combustion carbon capture non-viable in many industrial applications at present. This focus on the development of innovative materials, membranes and membrane processes for carbon capture. This scientific workshop will highlight the research capabilities of the academic partners and will enable the participating universities to showcase and disseminate their high-profile work in this field, outlining previous research and linking it to the current NanoMEMC2 programme. This will identify how we are collectively contributing to the development and deployment of low-carbon technologies, specifically membrane-based separation processes. After the presentations, there will be a dedicated poster session with refreshments and a technical panel discussion.
