Max Ball, the manager of SaskPower’s Clean Coal Technologies and will be coming to Edinburgh to present a jointly hosted seminar and webinar with SCCS. Max’s travel to the UK has been supported by the UK FCO and Science & Innovation Network.

He will discuss his experiences and learnings from being at the initiation and all the way through to a fully operating commercial CCS power plant

Max Ball, P. Eng.
Manager, SaskPower Clean Coal Technologies
Sr. Business Advisor to President, CCSI, SaskPower
Max Ball currently manages technology and business development relating to SaskPower’s clean coal projects. Mr. Ball has been a leader in development of many major projects at SaskPower including initiation of the Boundary Dam Integrated CCS Demonstration (ICCS Demo) and the SaskPower Carbon Capture Test Facility. The ICCS Demo is the world’s first commercial power plant integrated with full stream CCS.
Mr. Ball holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan. He has over 30 years experience in planning, constructing and operating fossil fired power plants including more than 10 years specializing in application of carbon capture technologies.
