Technology and top-down political decisions are not enough if Europe wants to become a low-carbon society. Broad civil society participation is key to this transition. The European Commission has acknowledged that the governance process of the new Energy Union should “involve an energy dialogue with stakeholders to inform policy-making and support active engagement in managing the energy transition.”
R&Dialogue and E-TRACK will dedicate a full-day event on 18 November 2015 at the Centre Borschette in Brussels as a big step towards establishing this energy dialogue. At the event we will present local and national lessons learned until now, and interact with you on dialogue and broad participation in the energy transition. It will be a day of exchange with key Brussels stakeholders. Participating in this event will bring you new insights on how we can work together in Europe to realise the energy transition.
