Delegates at this conference will discuss the future for London as an energy supplier, and challenges and opportunities for cities in the UK to transform the energy market.
Sessions will focus on challenges for developing London’s energy scheme, with the Capital applying to be the first public authority to receive a junior electricity licence from Ofgem, and the Mayor announcing plans for Energy for London to produce 25% of the Capital’s power from local sources by 2025.
Delegates will also consider the potential for cities more widely to deliver cleaner, more efficient energy services, to raise funds, and to deliver benefits to city residents; what can be learned from successful city-based initiatives in the UK and Europe; and progress on implementation of the Community Energy Strategy.
