The UKCCSRC official launch will take place on the afternoon of 19 September, 2012, as part of a joint UKCCSRC and UKCCSC Biannual Meeting, held at the University of Durham from 19 – 20 September. The joint Biannual Meeting begins with a networking lunch on 19 September and concludes with a networking lunch on 20 September. Members of the UKCCSRC are invited to attend a morning members-only meeting on 19 September and are encouraged to attend the entire joint meeting.

The UK Carbon Capture and Storage Research Community (UKCCSRC) is supported by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) as part of the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Energy Programme.
The mission of the UKCCSRC is to ensure that carbon capture and storage (CCS) plays an effective role in helping the UK achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
