A group of six researchers* representing four different UK institutions recently travelled to South Africa to undertake some targeted engagement funded by the UKCCSRC.
While there, the researchers carried out some initial field work on a CO2 leak through a well exposed fault and an abandoned well, as well as collaborating with partner institutions in South Africa.
You can check out the Twitter updates from their trip on Storify and we will share a more detailed blog report on their trip soon!
*The researchers who went on this field trip are Clare Bond, University of Aberdeen; Stuart Gilfillan, University of Edinburgh; Gareth Johnson, University of Edinburgh; David Jones, BGS; Yannick Kremer, University of Strathclyde; and Bob Lister, BGS.
